Categories of Membership There are various categories of membership you may choose from when becoming a member of Eastern Suburbs Cycling Club. All categories entitle you to insurance cover, details of which can be found in the downloadable ESCC Membership Form. You will also need to fill in the Cycling Australia Membership form which can also downloaded. You may elect to join ESCC under the 'General Membership' category which entitles you to a domestic racing license, allowing you to enter all club and open events for the calendar year. You can view the current 2009 Race Calendar at the Cycling NSW website. Alternatively, if you have no wish to race but do enjoy the club training rides that are registered with Cycling NSW, you can join under the 'Recreational' category which is a non-competitive membership. You are permitted to enter club training rides only (for open events you will need to upgrade to a full racing license). A non-competitive membership is the very least you will require to participate in ESCC training rides so that you have insurance cover when out on the road. Renewal of any existing membership should be processed before 31st December 2009 in order for cover to continue from 1st January 2010. Memberships run through to 31st December 2010. How to Join To join Eastern Suburbs Cycling Club download the ESSC Membership form and a Cycling Australia Membership Form and drop the completed forms together with payment to Albion Cycles, 1 Albion Street, Waverley. Cheques should be made out to Eastern Suburbs Cycling Club. EFTPOS facilities are not available. We ask ALL members to purchase a club jersey and knicks when they join ESCC as this is the compulsory uniform when on club rides. ESCC does not participate in the online renewal system provided by Cycling Australia. New affiliations and renewals must be processed via ESCC at Albion Cycles. Please contact us for pricing according to your age group and preferred category. If you are transferring from another club, you are required to provide a Transfer Clearance form together with a letter of clearance from your previous club (on club letterhead). Once you have become a member of Eastern Suburbs Cycling Club and wish to participate in our club rides, you are required purchase and wear our official clothing on all club rides.
