Categories of Membership
There are various categories of membership you may choose from when becoming a member of Eastern Suburbs Cycling Club.
All categories entitle you to insurance cover, details of which can be found in the downloadable Membership Pack. To view FAQ on insurance cover, visit Cycling Australia's Membership Insurance page.
You may elect to join ESCC under the 'General Membership' which entitles you to a domestic racing license, allowing you to enter all club and open events for the calendar year. You can view the current 2008 Race Calendar at the Cycling NSW website.
Alternatively, if you have no wish to race but do enjoy the club training rides that are registered with Cycling NSW you may choose to join as a 'Ride-It' Member' which is a non-competitive membership. You are permitted to enter club training rides only (for open events you will need to upgrade to a full racing license).
A non-competitive membership is the very least you will require to participate in our club training rides so that you have insurance cover when out on the road.
A fifteen month membership is available from 1st October 2007. Renewal of an existing membership is from 1st January 2008. Both memberships run through to 31st December 2008.
How to Join
To join Eastern Suburbs Cycling Club download a Membership Pack and drop the completed forms together with payment to Albion Cycles, 1 Albion Street, Waverley. Cheques should be made out to Eastern Suburbs Cycling Club.
Please contact us for pricing according to your age group and preferred category.
If you are transferring from another club, you are required to provide a Transfer Clearance form (found in Membership Pack) together with a letter of clearance from your previous club (on club letterhead).
Once you have become a member of Eastern Suburbs Cycling Club and wish to participate in our club rides, we ask that you purchase and wear our official clothing. For details on our club rides, please visit our Club Rides page.
As a member you may also choose to forward us your favourite mug shot along with a few lines about yourself so that we can include you in our Members' Profile page allowing names to be put to the many faces of ESCC.
The Eastern Suburbs Junior Sports Academy is a free cycling project aimed at children 16 years and under. If you would like information on our junior programme, please contact us directly or read more by visiting our Juniors page.
