Bronte: I am 13

Jo: What school do you go to?

Bronte: Randwick Girls High

Jo: Do you have brothers and sisters? If you do, what are their names?

Bronte: I have one brother called Bryce who also does cycling

Jo: What other sport do you do other than cycling and what other clubs/associations do you play for?

Bronte: I play soccer in the school soccer team

Jo: Go the girls!!! How long have you been in the Academy?

Bronte: 1.5 years

Jo: Which group are you in?

Bronte: Group 1

Jo: What is your absolute favourite thing about your weekly cycling session:

Sprinting!

Jo: Do you daydream about standing on the podium at the Tour de France some day?

Bronte: Yes of course - that is my one dream - to be at the Olympics holding a Gold Medal!

Jo: Good dream! Remember when you are interviewed at the Olympics to mention us! You'll get a blank stare ......

What do you do in your spare time? Are you a computer freak or do you like being outside in the fresh air, or a bit of both?

Bronte: In my spare time I like to go to the beach to surf or laze around at home reading a book. Also I like bush walking, sleep overs and camping. I LOVE snow skiing!!!!

Jo: Surfing, Soccer and Cycling..... mmmmmm there is a pattern here Bronte ...... it's a good one ......

What is your favourite day of the week and why?

Bronte: Saturdays, sleep in day!

Jo: What is your favourite food?

Bronte: Napolitana and Ravioli

Jo: Favourite Movie?

Bronte: Mama Mia

Jo: Favourite TV Show?

Bronte: The Simpsons and Funniest Home Videos

Jo: Everyone says the Simpsons ....... What is your earliest memory?

Bronte: My brother and I were being babysat in Hamilton Island when I was nearly 3

Jo: Who is the most famous cyclist you know?

Bronte: Lance Armstrong

Jo: Ok my favourite question - Do you help your Mum around the house?

Bronte: Yes, I empty the dishwasher, occasionally vacuum and mostly keep my room tidy.

Jo: Three descriptive words for the word school:

Bronte: Something I have to do, homework, timetocatchupwithfriends (like how you made that one whole word Bronte .....)

Jo: Have you made any good friends at cycling?

Bronte: Yes Phoebe

Jo: Are your girlfriends surprised when you tell them you train hard with cycling?

Bronte: No not really - they just accept that its something I do. They do think its cool though!

Jo: Are you enjoying your Sunday bunch ride with the group? What new things have you learnt since you started doing it?

Bronte: I really enjoy my Sunday rides, I've learnt about road safety and feel more confident riding on the roads. I like cycling together and being able to go outside the park.
